NEW ORLEANS – The Michigan Tech track & field teams saw three of its members earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors for the 2023 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season.

The Huskies tabbed All-Region were Clayton Sayen (1,500m), Sam Lange (1,500m) and Jesse Jacobusse (800m).

This marks the fourth-consecutive year that Sayen, a Houghton, Michigan, local, has been tabbed All-Region in the metric mile, clocking 3:45.27 at the St. Francis Last Chance Invite on May 13.

He is joined by teammate Lange, hailing from Washington, Illinois, who earned his first All-Region accolades in the 1,500m with his time of 3:46.11, being among the top-five in the event for the midwest region.

The Huskies also saw Jesse Jacobusse tabbed All-Region for the first time. The Chelsea, Michigan, native ran 2:08.00 to be among the top-five fastest times over 800m in the midwest region.

Sayen and Jacobusse will be competing in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Pueblo, Colorado, on May 25-27.
