RECENT NEWS

It has been just over 10 years since Michigan Tech football last beat a No. 1 ranked team (October 30, 2010, Grand Valley State, 20-17) but they will have a chance to conjure the magic again Saturday, October 23 at 1 p.m. against top-ranked Ferris State at Kearly Stadium. The Huskies are hot off a comeback 21-14 Miner’s Cup victory over Northern Michigan at Superior Dome and have won each of their last three outings in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.
For the 11th straight season, Michigan Tech defeated rival Northern Michigan for the Miner's Cup 21-14 at Superior Dome in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football game. Tied 14-14 late in the fourth quarter, quarterback Will Ark delivered an eight-yard strike to a wide-open Jordan Janssen on a slant down the right sideline, giving the Huskies the final lead with just 18 seconds to play and the victory. John Paramski also made a crucial fourth quarter interception to help turn the momentum.
Michigan Tech football aims for its 11th straight Miner’s Cup victory Saturday against Northern Michigan (3-3, 1-1) at 12 p.m. EST at Superior Dome. It will be the 94th meeting between the two rivals in games dating back to 1920. The Huskies enter the game on a two-game win streak. The game can be heard locally on Mix 93.5 WKMJ with Josh Ylitalo (play-by-play) and TV6 television with Dave Ellis.
