Huskies Rank Third and Seventh in Latest USTFCCCA Regional Rankings

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Following the GLIAC Cross Country Championships, the Michigan Tech men's and women's cross country teams have moved up in their respective USTFCCCA Division II Regional Rankings.

On the women's side, the second-place finish at the GLIAC Championships moves the women's team into third. Conference champions Grand Valley State keeps the top ranking in the region, followed by Walsh. Trailing the Huskies is Hillsdale, Cedarville, Saginaw Valley State, Wayne State, Indianapolis, Truman, and Drury.

The Michigan Tech men, who finished third at the GLIAC Championships, moved back into the top 10 as they were placed seventh in the Midwest Region. GLIAC champion Grand Valley State retains their top ranking in the region, followed by Saginaw Valle State, Malone, Walsh, Southern Indiana, and Cedarville. Behind the Huskies are Hillsdale, Lewis, and Illinois-Springfield.

The Huskies continue their postseason competition this coming Saturday (Nov. 17) when they head down to Hillsdale, Michigan for the 2018 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Championships, hosted by Hillsdale College.
