Thirteen Tech Nordic skiers honored for academics
BOULDER, Colo. – The Michigan Tech Nordic ski teams had 13 Huskies named to the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team Wednesday (March 30) as released by the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association.
To make the team, skiers must have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, matching the highest GPA requirement of any coaches association academic team nationally, and skiers must participate at one of the three regional championships.
Huskies receiving recognition are:

- Olivia Laven, Engineering Management
- Alice McKnight, Environmental Engineering
- Anabel Needham, Environmental Engineering
- Mark Ousdigian, Mechanical Engineering
- Skylar Patten, Engineering Management
- Henriette Semb, Engineering Management
- Tryg Solberg, Forestry
- Marie Sølverud Wangen, Engineering
- Adam Witkowski, Economics
A total of 361 collegiate skiers were honored. It is the second straight season that more than 300 were named to the team nationally, which comprises all NCAA and associate members of the three ski regions, the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association in the west region, the Central Collegiate Ski Association in the central region, and Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association in the eastern region.
