2021-22: USCSA All-Academic Ski Team… Earned All-Region honors in the 10k classic… Earned All-Region honors in the 20k mass start skate… Had a runner-up finish in the 20k mass start skate at the NCAA Regional… Had a runner-up finish in the 20k mass start skate at the CCSA Championships… Had a runner-up finish in the 10k classic at the CCSA Championships… Placed third in the 10k classic at the NCAA Regional… Placed third in the 15k skate at the CCSA Mt. Itasca CXC Cup… Placed fourth in the 15k skate at the CCSA MTU Invite & GLD CXC Cup… Had a top-five collegiate finish in the 15k freestyle at the Gitchi Gami Games… Placed 10th in the 20k skate at the NCAA Championships for All-America honors… Placed 20th overall and fifth U23 and eighth collegiately in the 30k skate at the US Cross Country Ski National Championships… Placed 21st in the men’s 10k classic at the NCAA Championships… Placed 31st overall and seventh collegiately in the 10k skate at the Duluth SuperTour… Placed 48th in the skate sprint at the Duluth SuperTour…  Placed 57th overall and 16th U23 in the 15k classic at the US Cross Country Ski National Championships…

Major: Materials Science

Before Tech: Skylar Patten had an absolutely solid competition season in 2019-20 as a postgraduate athlete with the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. His 2019-20 ski season was highlighted with a fourth-place overall finish in the Boulder Mountain Tour! Skylar also skied to ninth-place U20 finishes in both the skate 15km and classic 10km races at the 2020 U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships! Skylar is a two time All-American, having finished third in the classic 5km and seventh in the skate 5km at the 2017 U.S. Junior National Championships. We are confident the commitment and success Skylar has shown to his ski racing goals will transfer to his success as a student-athlete with our collegiate team!
