MNSU's Record 11-7-5 Overall; 10-2-5 WCHA

• Michigan Tech wraps up its series with No. 19-ranked Minnesota State tonight at the John

MacInnes Student Ice Arena. Puck-drop in the contest is slated for 7 p.m.

• Tonight's outing will be Tech's first at home since Dec. 5 and just its fifth home game since Oct. 31. The Huskies 3-4-0 at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena this winter, but have 12 wins in 16 showings on home ice dating back to last season.

• The Huskies enter tonight's contest five points behind the first-place Mavericks in the WCHA standings. A win tonight would move Tech into a second-place tie with Bowling Green (no league games this weekend) and three points behind Minnesota State.

• MTU is looking for its first win against Minnesota State since Feb. 4, 2012 - a 7-3 triumph on the road. The Mavericks have won seven of the last 10 games against the Huskies and are currently on a 10-game unbeaten streak in the series. Tech's last win over MNSU at home was a 1-0 blanking of the Mavericks on Nov. 11, 2011.

• Michigan Tech is hosting its annual Junior Hockey Night this evening. Youth hockey players from the Copper Country will be wearing their jerseys in the stands and all fans are welcome to participate in Skate with the Huskies at the conclusion of the contest. Kids will also be entered into a contest to win great prizes, such as free hockey camp, CCM hockey sticks and autographed Tech hockey gear.

• The Huskies have been outstanding in their black jerseys this winter (7-2-2) and are 19-4- 3 in the uniforms since the start of the 2014-15 campaign.

• Twenty-three Tech players have seen game action against Minnesota State, including two players - Alex Petan and Malcolm Gould - who are making their 11th career appearance vs. MNSU tonight. Petan leads all Tech players with six points in his career vs. the Mavericks (6-0-5) while 12 other Huskies have found the score sheet vs. Mankato in their Tech careers.

• Gould hold the team-high in career assists vs. Mankato with three, including one on Petan's second-period tally last night.

• Senior goaltender Jamie Phillips will be looking to capture his first-ever win against Minnesota State tonight. The reigning WCHA Defensive Player of the Week is 0-4-2 with a .911 save percentage and 2.62 goals against average all-time vs. the Mavericks. Phillips stopped 30-of-32 shots in last night's 2-2 tie.
