Tech Women's Tennis Falls to Wayne State, Hillsdale

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech women's tennis team fell in both of its GLIAC conference matches this weekend at the Gates Tennis Center. The Huskies fell to Wayne State 8-1 Saturday (Oct. 3) before dropping a 9-0 decision to Hillsdale today (Oct. 4).

The No. 1 doubled tandem of Vicky Quinde and Sandra Cvetanovic claimed Tech's lone victory of the weekend by knocking off Wayne State's Andreea Mitrache and Alex Poissant 8-6. It was the team's third win of the season at the top doubles position.

Michigan Tech (1-7 overall; 1-7 GLIAC) hits the road next weekend (Oct. 9-10) for matches at Tiffin and Findlay.
