Northwood Knocks Off Huskies in Women's Tennis

MIDLAND, Mich. – The Michigan Tech women's tennis team fell to Northwood 9-0 in a GLIAC matchup today (Sept. 19) at the Gerstacker Courts.

"I thought we played well in doubles, maybe the best we've played all season," said coach Kevin Kalinec. "We didn't play badly in singles, but credit Northwood on playing very well. We have some work to do but there are definitely positives to build on."

The Huskies No. 3 doubles team of Natalia Alvarez and Kat Donovan put up the stiffest test of the day but fell 8-5, while the No. 2 doubles team of Allenca Rolim and Emilia Tenizbaeva was upended 8-4.

Michigan Tech is back in action tomorrow (Sept. 20) at Saginaw Valley State.
