HOUGHTON, Mich. — Michigan Tech fell to Ferris State 9-0 at Gates Tennis Center today. Four matches were decided by tiebreaker or one service break, and all four went to the Bulldogs.

Tech looked stronger in doubles today with tight competition at all three flights. The Huskies' No. 1 duo of Vicky Quinde and Sandra Cvetanovic fell in a tiebreaker 9-8 (3). FSU also won at No. 2 with a 9-7 score and No. 3 with an 8-4 count.

The Black and Gold started well in singles. Both Cvetanovic and Allenca Rolim won their first sets. Cvetanovic went on to fall 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 at No. 2 singles. Rolim had the same super tiebreaker score at No. 4, dropping a 5-7, 6-2, 10-4 decision.

"We played much better today—especially in doubles," said Tech coach Kevin Kalinec. "I really like our team a lot. Ferris is a strong team, and I believe our results will improve as we continue the season."

Tech hits the road to Walsh and Ashland for matches Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11 and 12, respectively.
