Suthijindawong Nets Second GLIAC Player of the Week Honor
BAY CITY, Mich. — Michigan Tech women's tennis player Kwang Suthijindawong was named GLIAC Player of the Week for the second consecutive time today.
Suthijindawong remained undefeated on the season with three singles wins and three doubles wins—all at the top spot—for Michigan Tech last weekend. The junior lost just seven games in nine sets combined in singles and doubles. She posted wins of 6-0, 6-0 vs. Ohio Dominican; 6-0, 6-0 vs. Ashland; and 6-3, 6-1 vs. Walsh in singles. With partner Sandra Cvetanovic, she had victories of 8-2, 8-0 and 8-1 vs. the three respective opponents.
Suthijindawong is now 29-0 in GLIAC singles matches in her career.
Michigan Tech continues a five-match home stretch by playing vs. Saginaw Valley State on Friday (Sept. 19).
