Michigan Tech Soccer Earns NCAA Tournament Berth!
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Michigan Tech women's soccer team has earned a berth into the NCAA Tournament it was announced during the selection show on NCAA.com tonight. The Huskies will be the No. 3 seed in the Midwest Region, facing sixth-seeded Bellarmine in Allendale, Mich., on Friday (Nov. 14) at 7 p.m.
Six teams from the Midwest Region earned berths. UW-Parkside is the top seed. It will have a first-round bye, then host the winner of Ohio Dominican and Saginaw Valley in the second round.
Grand Valley State is the No. 2 seed. The winner of the Tech-Bellarmine matchup will face the Lakers on GVSU's campus Sunday (Nov. 16).
Michigan Tech (11-4-2) is making its second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Huskies, who were the No. 6 seed a year ago, are looking for their first NCAA Tournament win.
