HOUGHTON, Mich. - Michigan Tech women's basketball is in action for the first time this fall Wednesday, traveling to Wisconsin Green Bay (Horizon League) at Kress Center at 8 p.m. It is the only exhibition contest for the Huskies, who begin their regular season on Nov. 11-12 at the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover tournament, hosted by William Jewell College. Fans can listen to Wednesday's radio broadcast locally on Mix 93.5 FM WKMJ and online at pasty.net.

Tech brings back all five of its 2021-22 starters. The Huskies finished in second place in the GLIAC North Division with an overall record of 18-11. They advanced to the conference tournament semifinals but fell to No. 2 ranked Grand Valley State 71-57 in March.

2020-21 GLIAC Player of the Year Ellie Mackay (Novi, Michigan) again led the Huskies in points per game last winter and is back for her senior campaign. Alex Rondorf (West Bend, Michigan) becomes a junior after being recognized All-GLIAC Second Team and All-GLIAC Defensive Team a year ago.

A full season preview for Michigan Tech women's basketball will be released in conjunction with the GLIAC Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8.
