THIS WEEK'S NOTES

STAT OF THE WEEK
77.9 • Tech's team free throw percentage—second-best in the GLIAC and sixth-best nationally.

MOXLEY REIGNING GLIAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kylie Moxley scored a career-high 34 points vs. NU last Thursday (Feb. 18) with a school-record 15 field goals (on 22 attempts). She came within three points of the school scoring record (37) with 17 points in the first half and 17 more in the second. The 6-0 post player followed up her career high with 20 more points in just 25 minutes vs. Lake Superior State. For the week, Moxley connected on 23-of-33 field goals including 3-of-5 from 3-point range. She totaled 54 points and 12 rebounds in the two wins, which kept Tech atop the GLIAC North Division standings.

HOME GLIAC QUARTERFINAL
Michigan Tech will host a quarterfinal game of the GLIAC Tournament at the SDC Gym next week. The Huskies have clinched at least the No. 3 seed in the tournament. The top four teams host quarterfinal games, with the highest seed remaining of the four winners hosting the semifinals and championship.

THE MIDWEST REGION PICTURE
Michigan Tech is ranked eighth in this week's NCAA Midwest Region rankings. The rankings are used to select the teams for the NCAA Tournament. Eight teams from the Midwest Region will earn spots in the dance, with three automatic bids (champions of the GLIAC, GLVC and G-MAC conferences) and five at large teams. The region rankings are below
1. Ashland    4. Bellarmine    7. Saginaw Valley    10. St. Joseph's
2. Lewis    5. Quincy    8. Michigan Tech
3. Drury    6. Ohio Dominican    9. Grand Valley

BLAKE TIES BLOCKS RECORD AGAIN
Danielle Blake blocked seven Northwood shots on Thursday (Feb. 18) to tie the school record she already shared. Blake has now posted seven blocks in a game three times—all against Northwood—in her career. The 6-0 forward is Michigan Tech's career blocked shots leader with 191.

HOME SWEET HOME
Michigan Tech has put together a 83-7 record (92.2 winning percentage) at home during Kim Cameron's tenure as the Huskies' coach (dating back to 2010-11). The Black and Gold were 17-1 at the SDC Gym last year and are 11-0 thus far in 2015-16.

MOXLEY SITS AT 967 CAREER POINTS
Kylie Moxley has put up 348 points this season to run her career total to 967—33 shy of becoming the 23rd player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau. Danielle Blake was the most recent 1,000-club member this season.

SERIES VS. NORTHERN MICHIGAN
Northern Michigan owns a 52-41 all-time lead in the series vs. Michigan Tech. The Wildcats held off the Huskies 71-69 in Marquette earlier this month with a basket in the final seven seconds. Danielle Blake had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer that fell short. At the SDC Gym, Tech has won 13 straight games over NMU.

COACH CAMERON
Kim Cameron, in her sixth year as Tech's head coach, has put together a 137-38 (.783) career record. She is the first Division II head coach in Tech history to lead a team to a national title game appearance (2011) and was the GLIAC Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2015 and Midwest Region Coach of the Year in 2011. Cameron-coached teams have claimed three GLIAC North Division titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament three times—twice as the top seed of the Midwest Regional.

NEXT UP
Tech will make its 26th consecutive postseason appearance when it hosts a GLIAC Tournament quarterfinal game next Tuesday (Mar. 1). The Huskies are the only team in the GLIAC to participate in every league tournament since its inception in 1990-91.
