"Most years we wouldn't have the opportunity to compete in the SuperTour Finals & Spring National Championships as most years this event takes place out of our region," head coach Tom Monahan Smith said. "So our student-athletes are really looking forward to this unique opportunity they have now to compete in this National Championship event right here in the Midwest! There will be collegiate teams from across the country as well professional athletes from the U.S. and Canada competing in these races, so it offers our student-athletes truly World Class competition. Our student-athletes will compete in a select number of the 4 race events, and they are really looking forward to each of their additional national championships race opportunities. We have one overarching goal as a team for this race week and that is to make it the most fun race week we possibly can! Going out there and loving what we do as ski racers is how we want to finish our season!"

Six Huskies will return to competition fresh off the National Championships, where Skylar Patten (14th & 16th place, respectively) led the men's team as Olivia Laven (24th place) paced the Skate Interval Start and first year Synne Herheim was the low-stick in Saturday's Classic Mass Start (26th place).

Colin Freed placed 21st in the Classic Mass Start and Henry Snider took 24th in the Skate Interval Start.

Anabel Needham had finishes of 32nd and 33rd overall for the two days of competition.

The Black & Gold's team depth will be on display again with the rest of the squads back in action for the four race event featuring a unique Skate Team Sprint on the third day of the Championship.
