Skiers head over to NMU Invitational this weekend
HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech Nordic ski teams return to action this weekend at the NMU CCSA Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming, Michigan.
Saturday will be the classic races with the women going 5K at 1 p.m. and the men 10K at 2:30 p.m. Sunday will be the freestyle with a 20K for the men at 9:30 a.m. and then an 11:30 a.m. start for the women's 15K.
"We've had two weeks to prepare, evaluate, and understand what we need to do to have even stronger performances this weekend," Tech coach Tom Monahan Smith said. "We really want to focus on the process leading up to race days. We're focusing on being consistent in our training and having the right mindset to create an opportunity to be successful."
