BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - Marissa Yovetich earned NCAA All-Region

Championships Saturday (Nov. 5). She covered the six-kilometer
course in 22:43.
Christina Mishica also turned in a strong race finishing 61st in
23:33.
Tech had two other runners finish in the top-100. Sarah Daniels was
58th (23:45), and Amanda Halonen was 72nd (23:57).
Sydney Bruestle completed the top-five for the Huskies finishing
102nd (24:30).
Hillsdale Amanda Putt won the race in 21:26. Defending national
champion Grand Valley State won the team title with 29 points. Tech
finished 12th in the 29 team competition with 293 points.
"I am really proud of Marissa and the entire team," said Joe
Haggenmiller. "Our region is very tough, and there are many
talented runners."
Michigan Tech had two runners, Jani Lane and Matt Dugan, finish in
the top-100 in the men's 10-kilometer race. Lane finished 84th
(34:38) and Matt Dugan was 97th (34:48).
Nathan Manderfield and Eric Parsell each crossed the line in 35:12
to finish 106th and 107th respectively.

the Huskies.
Grand Valley's Anthony Witt won the men's race in 31:58 to lead the
Lakers to the team title with 20 points. Tech finished 19th out of
28 teams.
"Our men had a tough race," said Haggenmiller. "We only had one guy
(Dylan Anderson) who had competed at the regional meet before. The
fact that the men were competing in their first 10k of the season
also complicated things."
The season is complete for both cross country teams.
