Arvid Caderoth signs in ECHL with Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Michigan Tech senior forward Arvid Caderoth has signed a professional contract with the Fort Wayne Komets in the ECHL. The Komets are affiliated with the NHL's Edmonton Oilers and the AHL's Bakersfield Condors.

Caderoth skated in 140 games for the Huskies over the past four seasons and tallied 56 points with 15 goals and 41 assists. The two-time captain scored six game-winning goals and six power-play goals. He scored a career-best seven goals as a senior which included a four-point night at Bemidji State (Nov. 10) with two goals and two assists. Caderoth had the game-winner that night and also scored the game-winner at Bowling Green (Feb. 23).

Caderoth is a native of Gothenburg, Sweden, and is a CCHA Scholar-Athlete and member of the CCHA All-Academic Team. He was named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team as a freshman after leading conference newcomers with 18 points and 16 assists. He received the team's Norbert Matovich Memorial Outstanding Freshman Award in his first season and the Harold Meese Sportsmanship Award and John MacInnes Slide Rule Award as a junior.

The Komets are seventh in the ECHL Western Conference with a 33-27 record. They play their games at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
