Mosley and Campbell named CCHA Players of the Week

HOUGHTON, Mich. – Ryland Mosley and Matthew Campbell, from the Michigan Tech hockey team, have been named CCHA Players of the Week the conference announced on Monday (Nov. 27). Mosley is the CCHA Forward of the Week and Campbell is the CCHA Defenseman of the Week.

Senior Ryland Mosley scored twice in the Huskies' 3-2 overtime victory at Minnesota State on Friday. He scored on the power play for the overtime game-winner while also tallying the first goal for the Huskies. In the CCHA sweep, the alternate captain had nine shots on goal with three blocked shots. He also played a key part in the penalty-killing unit going a perfect 3-for-3 on the weekend. Mosley is tied for the team lead with eight goals this season and wrapped up a six-game point streak on Friday where he tallied nine points.

Sophomore Matthew Campbell tallied an assist each night in the CCHA series sweep in Mankato. He had the primary assist on Ryland Mosley's overtime game-winner Friday and set up Jack Works for Tech's second goal on Saturday. Campbell was plus-3 on the weekend with eight shots on goal and a pair of blocked shots. He also played a key part in the penalty-killing unit going a perfect 3-for-3 on the weekend. Campbell has four points with a goal and three assists in nine games in his first season with the Huskies.

Tech is 6-6-3 overall and 4-2-0 in the CCHA and hosts Bowling Green this weekend. The puck drops at 7:07 p.m. Friday and 6:07 p.m. Saturday at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena.
