Drew Blair tallied 22 points to lead No. 14 ranked Minnesota Duluth over Michigan Tech 99-65 Saturday afternoon at Romano Gymnasium in non-conference men’s basketball. The Bulldogs shot an impressive 58-percent from the field to improve to 5-1 on the year. The Huskies fell to 2-4 in the midst of seven straight games away from the Keweenaw.

Monday, Michigan Tech men’s basketball head coach Josh Buettner announced two recruits penned a National Letter of Intent to join the Huskies next season. They include Luke Hazelton (Forward – Maple City, Michigan) and Ethan Heck (Shooting Guard – De Pere, Wisconsin).

Michigan Tech bounced back with a win 77-67 over McKendree University Sunday afternoon, with support from freshman Dan Gherezgher, who scored 27 points in the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover Tournament. Gherezgher shot 9-for-12 from the floor and made all six free throw attempts to lead the Huskies to a 1-1 non-conference record this weekend.
