Huskies Receive Votes in NABC Poll, Ticket Information for Midwest Regional

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech men's basketball team received votes in the latest NCAA Division II National Association of Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, announced this week by the national office. It is the first time this season that the Huskies have been represented in the national coaches' poll.

Michigan Tech ran the table in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, defeating Saginaw Valley State 75-56, Grand Valley State 69-53, and Northwood 68-57 to clinch the programs third GLIAC Tournament Championship. The Huskies secured an automatic bid by winning the title and will make the programs 10th appearance in the NCAA National Tournament. Michigan Tech is 23-8 overall and finished second in the GLIAC North Division and third in the overall regular season standings.

The Huskies are one of two GLIAC teams represented in the poll this week. Ferris State checks in at No. 16 in the poll and will take part in the NCAA Midwest Region Tournament in Indianapolis. Tech will battle Bellarmine University, the No. 5 seed out of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, in round one of the regional tournament.

Tickets for the tournament can be purchased online through the University of Indianapolis ticket office at the link above. Ticket prices are $15 for the first day (4 games), $10 for the second day (2 Games), and $10 for the championship contest. The tournament takes place March 14, 15, and 17 and a link to the official tournament webpage can also be found at the top of the release.

Tech's opening round game against Bellarmine Saturday is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. eastern time.
