Here's what happened last week, and what is coming up!

Apex: Legends

Husky Apex placed second last Saturday in the fifth and final week of Octane Collegiate group stages. The win punched Tech's ticket to the Upper Playoff series Saturday.

Tech plays in the Upper Playoffs of Octane Collegiate on Saturday, looking to secure its spot in the Grand Finals on April 29. Seeded sixth, the Huskies need to only place 10th to advance. If not, Tech still has another shot in the Losers Finals on April 23. Where again, only the best 10 advance. Then those final 20 will face off in the Grand Finals next Saturday to crown a collegiate Apex: Legends champion.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Tech was given a free ride to the round of four after Kennesaw State forfeited the match. However, the Rochester Institute of Technology's varsity roster ended the Huskies' hopes of another national title.

Overpass started close, with Tech able to stabilize after a dominant RIT pistol round. However, MJB was able to pull an insane 4k clutch while being entirely surrounded on the B site. After which the RIT side kept the momentum and closed the map 16-8. Inferno did not go better. Tech was unable to find an answer and fell 16-7.

This ends the CSGO season with a top-four national placement in NACE.

Rocket League

The B team fell to RIT in the round of four on April 10 in its conference championship tournament.

The varsity squad lost to Brewton-Parker College in the round of 16 of the NACE Varsity Premier National Championship 4-1.

League of Legends

This is the final week of the regular season. Tech faces Cleary Tuesday and Cornell Thursday.

The Huskies continue to work through the Teemo Cup with another win! Tech took down Illinois Tech 2-1. Next, the League of Legends team takes on Johns Hopkins on Saturday.

Overall, MTU placed second in the Michigan Bandwidth Bowl. League of Legends won its tournament with wins over Davenport (1-0), Northern Michigan (1-0), Western Michigan (1-0), and the overall winner Trine (2-0).

Overwatch 2

Tech's Overwatch 2 team came up second unable to overcome the University of Michigan. First, the Huskies took down both Grand Valley State (2-1) and Western Michigan (2-1) before U of M sent Tech down to the lower bracket in a 2-0 series. There, the Huskies returned to face Michigan after a 3-1 victory over Eastern Michigan. However, Michigan was the best that day winning a clean 3-0 for the Overwatch 2 Bandwidth Bowl victory.

Super Smash Brothers: Ultimate

The Smash team took down Full Sail 2-0 with the help of Arthur Duncan "Geyser"'s 5 stocks taken as Bowser. On Saturday Tech's National Championship run ended in the round of eight at the hands of Stony Brook.
