CSGO
Tech's first playoff match in the round of 16 is against Ashland. The match is pending rescheduling.
League of Legends
Tuesday, Tech fell to Florida Southern 2-1 ending its national playoff run in the round of 8. In the win, Brandon Cox "Oblivionize" put 22 assists on the board as Neeki and Hayden Long "BIG DADDY BARD" dealt 44,288 damage to champions as Swain.
Wednesday, the Huskies wrapped up the regular season with a 2-0 victory over Brooklyn. Kevin Doerr "67", secured 10 kills as Lucian.
MTU ended up third in the Champions Mideast Division with a 5-2 match record and a 12-6 record in the NECC tournament. First round of the conference playoffs Tech faces Cleveland State. The game is still pending a reschedule.
Friday, the Huskies participated in the Grilla X NECC invitational where they placed top 8 falling to York 2-0. Tech took wins over Murray State (2-0) and Juniata College (2-0) on its path up the bracket of 27 teams.
Overwatch 2
Tech faces Drexel in NACE Varsity + playoffs this week, catch the stream on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Friday, Tech came out on top over UNLV 2-0. Lucas Haskins "cheesebread" reaped 27 kills as Reaper and Maxwell Kinlin "Sky" absorbed 11,468 damage as Winston.
Then, Tech lost to Hawaii 2-0. Genevieve Myers "HelixNebula" put up 19,626 points of healing as Kiriko. This brings the Huskies to a 5-5 record in the Activision Blizzard Tournament, and an end to the season.
Rocket League
Both Rocket League teams have playoff matches Monday night at 7 p.m. The 12th seed A team faces 5th seed Rochester in the round of 16. The B team faces Cincinnati in the round of 4.
Over the weekend, both Rocket League teams competed in the Collegiate Carball Association 3rd Open tournament.
The A team put up a 3rd place podium finish with sweeps over Maryland, Delaware, and New Haven. Then a pair of 3-1 wins over GVSU, and a win over Indiana 3-1. Tech fell to Akron's Gold team in both winners and losers bracket 3-1. Akron went on to win the whole thing over St. Clair 3-1. Ninety-six teams entered the tournament.
The B team fell 0-2 to Northeastern and JWU.
This Saturday is the fourth and final CCA Fall Open!
Super Smash Bros: Ultimate
The Huskies start as the ninth seed in the round of 16 on November 17! They first face the eighth seed Quinnipiac. You can catch the match on the MTUEsports Twitch stream at 8:30 p.m.
Valorant
The Huskies return for the Round of 4 on November 16 and will face Ole Miss.
