Alane Isaacson was promoted to assistant to the athletic director in 2013 after having served as the secretary in the athletic department since 2000. She's been a Michigan Tech employee since 1990. Isaacson began her career as a secretary in the social sciences department and had stints in the humanities department and career center before moving to athletics.

Isaacson, an avid Red Wings fan, and her husband, Jeff, reside in Chassell, Mich. The couple has three adult children, Liisa, Senia and Matt, along with four grandchildren.
