Hagenbuch Receives Stipend to Attend NAAC Convention

HOUGHTON, Mich. — The National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) has selected the 28 recipients of the 2015 NAAC Convention Stipend, sponsored by Lightfoot, Franklin & White. Kate Hagenbuch, Michigan Tech’s director of NCAA compliance and student-athlete services, was one of the 28 chosen.

Hagenbuch will attend the June 14-15 NAAC Convention, which will take place at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Fla.

Stipend recipients receive a monetary award to help cover expenses associated with registration and travel to the convention.

“I am excited for the chance to attend this convention,” said Hagenbuch. “I look forward to meeting other NAAC members and attending sessions that are related to financial aid, the academic success rate and new NCAA legislation.

“As a young professional, I will continue to take advantage of professional development opportunities that are available.”

In addition to the 2015 NAAC Convention, Kate has been selected to participate in the NCAA & Division II Athletic Directors Association Women & Minorities Mentor Program, which matches women and minority administrators who hope to become athletics directors with current athletics directors.
