Fifth Annual MTB Rendevous at Tech Trails Saturday
July 14, 2014
The fifth annual Michigan Tech MTB Rondevous begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday (July 19) at the Tech Trails. The Ronde is a 12-hour (or 6-hour) multi-lap mountain bike race around the Michigan Tech trail system. You can ride solo or as a two or four-person team.

Michigan Tech Names 2014 Sports Hall of Fame Class

Six individuals and the 1965 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship team will join the Michigan Tech Sports Hall of Fame at an induction ceremony in November. The individuals are: longtime football coach Bernie Anderson, former hockey player Tom Bissett, former basketball player Matt Cameron, former football player Alex Kowalski, former basketball player Jenny Sorenson (Wypych) and former football player Nick Sturm.

Twenty Michigan Tech basketball student-athletes were named to the 2013 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Winter All-Academic & All-Academic Excellence Teams. Nine men and 11 women basketball players were honored.
Alumni Association Hosting Golf Outings in Green Bay and Grand Rapids

Michigan Tech Athletics is partnering with the Michigan Tech Alumni Association for a pair of golf outings in May. The annual Green Bay Golf Outing is on May 21 at Mid Vallee Golf Course in De Pere, Wis., and the West Michigan Golf Outing is on May 31 at the Grand Rapids Country Club. All proceeds benefit Michigan Tech student-athletes.
Athletic Training Interns Wrap Up Season with Clinic

The Michigan Tech Athletic Training staff recently wrapped up another busy school year of catering to the needs of Husky student-athletes. Each year the staff adds student help through the Michigan Tech and Portage Health Athletic Training Student Internship Program.

The Michigan Tech athletic training staff is holding an Athletic Training Clinic on Saturday, April 19 from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. The clinic will teach kids grades 9-12 the athletic training profession. Preregistration is required by April 17 and costs $33.
