HOCKEY
Michigan Tech earned its first six-point CCHA sweep of the season at Bowling Green over the weekend. The Huskies won 7-0 Friday and 3-1 Saturday. Nine different players scored the 10 goals with Alex Nordstrom scoring twice on Friday. Blake Pietila earned his 22nd career shutout Friday and 71st career win on Saturday. He stopped 47-of-48 shots faced on the weekend for a .979 save percentage. Tech hosts St. Thomas in the regular season finale on Friday at 7:07 p.m. and Saturday at 6:07 p.m. The Huskies can climb to as high as the No. 2 seed for the CCHA Playoffs. The eight seniors will be honored after Saturday's game. The Blue Line Club is hosting the final luncheon of the season on Friday.

NORDIC SKIING
The Huskies claimed their third-straight NCAA Central Region Championship with the combined team win and a men's team victory at the Tech Trails over the weekend. Tech's coaching staff also earned Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year. Skylar Patten won both races on the weekend, while Anabel Needham was the women's regional champion in Saturday's skate. Needham was third in Sunday's classic with Colin Freed (third in skate) and Henry Snider (third in classic) also finding the podium. The Huskies will be sending Skylar Patten, Colin Freed, Henry Snider, Anabel Needham, Synne Herheim, and Olivia Laven to Steamboat, Colorado, for the NCAA Championships on March 7 & 9.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech wrapped up its road schedule with a two-game sweep. The Huskies won 95-75 Thursday at Wayne State and 70-58 Saturday at Saginaw Valley State. Tech broke school records for single-game field goal (73.5) and three-point field goal (70.8) shooting percentage against the Warriors. Isabella Lenz (16.5) and Emma Anderson (13) averaged double-digit scoring on the weekend. Tech is 14-10 overall and 10-6 in the GLIAC and wraps up the regular season by hosting Davenport on Thursday and No. 2 Grand Valley State on Senior Day Saturday at the SDC Gym.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies split their final weekend on the road with a 75-61 loss at Wayne State on Thursday and a bounce-back 84-79 victory at Saginaw Valley State on Saturday. Marcus Tomashek (23.5) and Dan Gherezgher (12.5) averaged double figures on the trip. The Huskies are 10-15 overall and 7-9 in the GLIAC and wrap up the regular season at the SDC Gym against Davenport Thursday and Grand Valley State on Senior Day Saturday.

TENNIS
The Huskies are on their annual spring break trip with four matches on the schedule in Orlando.
