HOCKEY
Michigan Tech split with Minnesota State in the annual Winter Carnival series. The Huskies won 3-1 Friday and fell 4-2 Saturday. Tech won the shootout to break the total goal tie and win the MacInnes Trophy. Ryland Mosley, Logan Pietila, Jed Pietila, Tyrone Bronte, and Marcus Pedersen scored the goals. The Huskies are off this weekend before traveling to Bowling Green on February 23-24 and then hosting St. Thomas on March 1-2 to wrap up the regular season.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech swept its home weekend and has now won five of its last six. The Huskies defeated Purdue Northwest 67-60 on Thursday and Parkside 74-68 on Saturday. Isabella Lenz (16), Emma Anderson (12.5), Katelyn Meister (10.5), and Alex Rondorf (10) scored in double figures in the two games. Tech is 12-9 overall and 8-5 in the GLIAC and hosts rival Northern Michigan at the SDC Gym at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies earned two big wins at the SDC Gym over the weekend, defeating Purdue Northwest 77-61 on Thursday and Parkside 74-52 on Saturday. Dan Gherezgher (21) and Marcus Tomashek (19) led the offense as the Huskies improved to 8-14 overall and 5-8 in the GLIAC. Tech hosts Northern Michigan on Saturday at 3 p.m.

NORDIC SKIING
The Huskies finished second at the CCSA Championship in Duluth. Axel Aflodal had the lone podium finish on the weekend in third in Sunday's classic. Synne Maeland-Herheim placed fourth both days while Parker Courte-Rathwell also finished fourth in the freestyle on Saturday. Tech has the weekend off before hosting the NCAA Central Regional Championship on February 24-25.

TENNIS
Both tennis teams split their weekend on the road. The men's team snapped a 17-match losing streak with a 4-3 win at Northwood on Friday. The Huskies fell 4-3 at Hillsdale on Saturday. The women's team was victorious over Hillsdale 5-2 on Saturday and fell 4-3 at Northwood on Friday. The Huskies are back on the road this weekend, playing at McKendree on Friday and Lewis on Saturday.
