HOCKEY
Michigan Tech fell 4-1 at Northern Michigan on Friday and tied the Wildcats 3-3 on Saturday. NMU took the extra CCHA point in the shootout. Matthew Campbell, Arvid Caderoth, Isaac Gordon, and Ryland Mosley scored the goals on the weekend. Blake Pietila had 59 saves. Tech is now 11-12-6 overall and 8-8-2 in the CCHA and hosts Minnesota State in a total goal series for the MacInnes Trophy on Winter Carnival. The Blue Line Club has a luncheon scheduled for 11:45 a.m. Friday and the CCHA series will be played at 7:07 p.m. Friday and 5:07 p.m. Saturday.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech split its weekend on the road with an 81-49 win at Lake Superior State on Thursday and a 63-54 loss at No. 7 Ferris State Saturday. Isabella Lenz (16) and Alex Rondorf (14) scored in double figures in the two games. Tech is 10-9 overall and 6-5 in the GLIAC and returns to the SDC Gym against Purdue Northwest on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and Parkside on Saturday at noon.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies dropped a pair of GLIAC games on the road with Lake Superior State winning 82-71 Thursday and No. 20 Ferris State coming out victorious 79-63 Saturday. Marcus Tomashek (18), Nate Abel (13), and Dawson Nordgaard (12.5) averaged double figures on the trip. The Huskies are 6-14 overall and 3-8 in the GLIAC and return home for three straight, beginning Thursday against Purdue Northwest at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday versus Parkside at 2 p.m.

NORDIC SKIING
The Huskies began the championship portion of their schedule this weekend at the CCSA Championships in Duluth. The teams will race in the classic on Saturday and the skate on Sunday.

TENNIS
The Michigan Tech men's and women's tennis teams began the 2024 portion of their schedule this weekend. Both teams fell 6-1 at Tiffin on Friday. The men's team played at Findlay on Saturday, dropping the match 5-2. The Oilers defeated the women's squad 7-0 on Sunday in Midland. Tech is back on the road this weekend with both teams playing at Northwood on Friday and Hillsdale on Saturday.
