HOCKEY
Michigan Tech split its weekend at Lake Superior State. The Lakers won 3-1 Friday and the Huskies shutout LSSU 1-0 on Saturday. Isaac Gordon and Ryland Mosley scored the goals. Blake Pietila stopped 54-of-56 shots on the weekend and picked up his school record 21st career shutout. Tech is 11-11-5 overall and 8-7-1 in the CCHA and plays another UP-rival, Northern Michigan, this weekend for the second time this season. The teams will meet in Marquette on Friday at 7:07 p.m. and Houghton on Saturday at 6:07 p.m.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech defeated Northern Michigan 71-58 on Saturday in Marquette in the only game of the week. Meister led with 16 points while Sara Dax (14), Isabella Lenz (13), and Alex Rondorf (10) also scored in double-figures. Tech is 9-8 overall and 5-4 in the GLIAC and continues its five-game road trip at Lake Superior State on Thursday and Ferris State on Saturday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies fell 98-66 at Northern Michigan on Saturday. Tech had a balanced offensive attack with Marcus Tomashek (18), Dawson Nordgaard (14), Dan Gherezgher (10), and Pete Calcaterra (10) finding double figures but NMU won its 12th straight. Tech is 6-12 overall and 3-6 in the GLIAC and plays at LSSU Friday and No. 13 FSU Saturday.
