HOCKEY
Michigan Tech dropped a pair of games at St. Thomas. The Huskies fell 4-3 Friday and 3-1 Saturday. Alex Nordstrom (2), Isaac Gordon, and Kyle Kukkonen scored the goals. Tech returns home this weekend for the first time in 2024, hosting Bemidji State at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena. It will be the second meeting with the Beavers who are second in the CCHA standings. The puck drops at 7:07 p.m. Friday and 6:07 p.m. Saturday.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech split its weekend at the SDC Gym. The Huskies fell 66-54 to No. 11 Ferris State on Thursday and bounced back with a 75-58 win over Lake Superior State Saturday. Katelyn Meister led the offense, averaging 17.5 points per game, while Sara Dax and Alyssa Wypych each averaged 11.5 points in the two games. Tech is 7-7 overall and 3-3 in the GLIAC and heads to Parkside Thursday and Purdue Northwest Saturday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies suffered a pair of home losses over the weekend. No. 12 Ferris State won 69-68 Thursday and Lake Superior State won 78-55 Saturday. Marcus Tomashek (18), Josh Terrian (11.5), and Dan Gherezgher (11) averaged double figures on the weekend. Tech is 5-10 overall and 2-4 in the GLIAC and travels to Parkside Thursday and Purdue Northwest Saturday.

NORDIC SKIING
Nordic skiing gets back to the action this weekend with the NMU Invite. Originally scheduled to take place in Ishpeming, at the Al Quaal Recreation Center, the CCSA has moved the race to Coleraine, Minnesota, at the Mt. Itasca Winter Sports Complex. Saturday's event will be a skate 7.5km with Sunday's race being a classic mass start.
