HOCKEY
No. 12 Michigan Tech split with Bowling Green in the annual Winter Carnival series. The Falcons won 5-2 Friday with the Huskies winning 4-2 Saturday. Kyle Kukkonen was named Winter Carnival MVP after scoring four goals on the weekend. Ryland Mosley and Tristan Ashbrook also found the back of the net. Tech matched last season's win total, improving to 21-8-4 overall. The Black and Gold also jumped Minnesota State for the top spot in the CCHA standings. The Huskies and Mavericks will play for the MacNaughton Cup as CCHA Regular Season Champions in the regular season finale on February 24-25 in Mankato.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
No. 24 Michigan Tech splits its final road trip downstate, falling 60-43 at No. 6 Grand Valley State Thursday and bouncing back with a 63-48 victory at Davenport Saturday. Ellie Mackay (12.5) and Isabella Lenz (11.5) averaged double figures. The Huskies are 20-5 overall and 12-3 in the GLIAC and host Purdue Northwest Thursday and Parkside Saturday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies dropped a pair of games in Grand Rapids. Grand Valley State won 79-74 Thursday and Davenport won 77-71 Saturday. Dan Gherezgher (15.5), Adam Hobson (14), and Marcus Tomashek (11) scored in double figures on the weekend. Tech hosts Purdue Northwest Thursday and Parkside Saturday at the SDC Gym.
