HOCKEY
No. 12 Michigan Tech earned a CCHA sweep at Bemidji State. The Huskies improved to 20-7-4 overall and 13-5-4 in the CCHA after shutting out the Beavers 2-0 Friday and winning 3-2 Saturday. Jack Works, Nick Nardella, Logan Pietila, Parker Saretsky, and Marcus Pedersen scored. Blake Pietila pushed his single-season school record mark to eight shutouts and his career record to 18. Tech wraps up its home schedule this weekend with the annual Winter Carnival series. The Huskies will host Bowling Green in a total goal series for the MacInnes Trophy. The puck drops at 7:07 p.m. Friday and 5:07 p.m. Saturday at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena. The Blue Line Club will be hosting a Winter Carnival luncheon on Friday and Saturday will be Senior Day.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies extended their winning streak to three games with a weekend sweep at the SDC Gym. Tech defeated Wayne State 78-58 Thursday and Saginaw Valley State 75-67 Saturday. Marcus Tomashek (14), Pete Calcaterra (12.5), Dan Gherezgher (11.5), and Adam Hobson (11.5) all averaged double figures on the weekend. Tech hits the road for the final time in the regular season at Grand Valley State Thursday and Davenport Saturday.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech improved to 19-5 overall and 11-2 in the GLIAC with a weekend sweep at the SDC Gym. The Huskies defeated Wayne State 80-70 Thursday and Saginaw Valley State 69-49 Saturday. Sara Dax and Isabella Lenz averaged 19 points in the two games, while Ellie Mackay (11.5), and Katelyn Meister (11.5) also averaged double figures. The Black and Gold travel to No. 6 Grand Valley State Thursday and Davenport Saturday for their final road trip of the regular season.

NORDIC SKIING
The Nordic ski teams earned their third combined team win of the season at the GANC CCSA Invite in Duluth, Minnesota. Anabel Needham won the 20K classic Sunday. Skylar Patten won the men's 10K freestyle Saturday and finished second in the 20K classic. Adam Witkowski and Colin Freed were also on the podium in the freestyle. The Huskies return to action on February 18-19 for the CCSA Championships/Wirth SuperTour in Minneapolis.

TENNIS
Women's tennis split its weekend to begin the 2023 portion of the schedule. The Huskies fell 4-3 to Tiffin Wednesday at home before rebounding for a 4-3 win at Lewis Saturday. Doubles duo Lauren Opalewski and Emily Cojocaru won both of their matches while Neva Manas won both of her singles matches. The men's squad fell in both matchups. Adam Fenjiro and Eli Pinnoo won singles matches against Lewis while the doubles squad of Leon Sell and Eli Pinnoo also picked up a win.
