HOCKEY
No. 13 Michigan Tech swept rival Northern Michigan. The Huskies shut out the Wildcats 3-0 Friday in Houghton and won 4-1 in Marquette Saturday. Blake Pietila stopped 46-of-47 shots in the series and earned his school-record 7th shutout of the season and 17th of his career. Logan Pietila scored each night while Tyrone Bronte, Kyle Kukkonen, Arvid Caderoth, Parker Saretsky, and Ryland Mosley also found the back of the net. Tech is 18-7-4 overall and 11-5-4 in the CCHA and travels to Bemidji State this weekend.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies split their road trip with a 78-50 loss at Ferris State Thursday and a 76-71 win at Lake Superior State Saturday. Dan Gherezgher (17) and Adam Hobson (15) scored in double figures Saturday and Brad Simonson scored 11 Thursday. Tech hosts Wayne State Thursday and Saginaw Valley State Saturday at the SDC Gym.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies split their weekend with a 63-60 loss at Ferris State Thursday and a 66-58 win at Lake Superior State. Isabella Lenz (18.5) and Ellie Mackay (13) averaged double figures. Tech is 17-4 overall and 9-2 in the GLIAC and hosts Wayne State Thursday and Saginaw Valley State Saturday.
