HOCKEY
Black defeated Gold in a shootout after a 3-3 tie at Saturday's Intrasquad game at Dee Stadium. The No. 18 Huskies get back to action this weekend with a non-conference road trip to Clarkson. The puck drops at 7 p.m. Friday and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Cheel Arena.

VOLLEYBALL
No. 20 Michigan Tech extended its winning streak to 12 games with a pair of victories on the road against GLIAC South Division opponents. The Huskies swept Parkside Friday and Purdue Northwest Saturday to improve to 16-4 overall and 9-1 in the GLIAC. Olivia Ghormley (3 k/s) and Anna Jonynas (2.83 k/s) led the offense. Laura De Marchi set the attack (7.83 a/s) while Megan Utlak (4 d/s) anchored the defense. Tech travels to Minnesota Duluth Tuesday and Northern Michigan Saturday to wrap up a seven-match road trip.

FOOTBALL
Michigan Tech fell 38-10 to the No. 1 team in the country the Ferris State Bulldogs Saturday at Kearly Stadium. Darius Willis scored on a 31-yard pass from Will Ark and Drew Wyble hit a 21-yard field goal for Tech's points. Braxton Blackwell led the Huskies with 13 tackles and added an interception. The Huskies travel to No. 8 Grand Valley State on Saturday for their second meeting of the season. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. at Lubbers Stadium.

SOCCER
The Huskies split their weekend with a road loss to No. 1 Grand Valley State on Friday and a 1-0 upset victory over No. 9 Ferris State Sunday at home. Grace Shaw scored the lone goal against the Bulldogs while Erika Gabriel had five saves. Tech is 10-5 overall and 7-4 in the GLIAC and hosts Saginaw Valley State Sunday on Senior Day. First kick is at noon at Kearly Stadium.

CROSS COUNTRY
The Huskies raced at the GLIAC Championship Saturday on the campus of Saginaw Valley State. The men's team finished second and the women's squad placed fourth. Clayton Sayen was All-GLIAC First Team with a fourth-place finish. Samuel Lange (13th), Luke Moore (21st), and Nick Niemi (23rd) were All-GLIAC Second Team. Michelle Bollini led the women's team in 11th place to earn All-GLIAC First Team honors. Sam Kurkowski placed 19th to earn All-GLIAC Second Team accolades. Next up for Huskies is the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships on November 6 in Evansville, Indiana.
