Marcus Olson
Inducted November 1, 1986

 

Olson was a four-year letter winner and three-time most valuable player at Michigan Tech in hockey and captained the Huskies in 1948-49 and 1949-50. He scored 50 goals and had 68 assists during his career at Tech and went on to play seven seasons of semiprofessional hockey.

In 1963, Olson moved to Peoria, IL where he was instrumental in starting and organizing hockey in that community -- today, Peoria boasts excellent ice facilities and a professional franchise.

A native of Marquette, MI, he is currently employed by caterpillar, Inc. in Peoria.
