Gary Begg
Inducted October 18, 1997

Gary Begg played hockey for the Huskies from 1960-63 and helped lead the team to its first ever national championship in 1962. A centerman his first two seasons, Begg played his final campaign for the Huskies on defense where he earned the Gitzen-Loutit Award as the team's top blueliner. During his three-year career (in his day, freshmen were not eligible to compete), Begg played in 89 games with 78 total points on 27 goals and 51 assists.

The Moosominn, Saskatchewan, native was a member of the 1964 Canadian Olympic Team and spent the five years after that as the captain of Canada's National Hockey Team.

Michigan Tech named their hockey locker room after him.
