Dance Team
The Michigan Tech Dance Team is a dedicated, talented group of student-athletes who support the Michigan Tech Huskies through presence and performance at games and other university events.
Emphasizing strong technique in Jazz, Hip Hop, and Pom, the Dance Team draws on a variety of dance styles to create unique and exciting performances in support of all Michigan Tech teams!
Team Update!
We are excited to announce that the Dance Team is competing both regionally and nationally during the 2021-2022 School Year! The Dance Team will compete in the Ashwaubenon Invitational on December 4, 2021 and are looking forward to competing more throughout the season!

Open Tryouts for the 2021-2022 Season
Think you have what it takes? Do you love dancing around? We would love to see you at the Michigan Tech Dance Team Open Tryouts! The Dance Team is looking for enthusiastic and spirited dancers to practice, perform and compete with the team for the 2021-2022 season! While dance experience is not needed, it is an added plus! We will be holding open tryouts on the following days:
Team Bonding Class, open to all returners and interested students
Time: 2:00 - 5:00 pm
Location: SDC Wood Gym
Sunday, September 19, 2021
Pre-Tryouts and Choreography, open to all returners and interested students
Time: 2:00 - 5:00 pm

Official Tryouts, all dancers welcome!
Time: 2:00 - 5:00 pm
Location: SDC Wood Gym
Dancers should wear comfortable clothing that they are comfortable dancing in. We would prefer if black jazz pants, leggings, or dance shorts were worn with a solid colored form fitting top with jazz or ballet shoes. We also recommend that dancers bring a water bottle and a light snack as their will be a short break during the auditions.
*Competitions are tentative until confirmed with the host group/site and is based on availability of team
