Six Former Huskies Run Boston Marathon

Six former Michigan Tech cross country student-athletes completed the Boston Marathon on Monday (Apr. 21). Over 35,000 runners started the 118th annual race, the second highest number in the race's history.
Five Cross Country Runners and Team Named All-Academic

Both Michigan Tech men’s and women’s cross country teams were named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II Scholar Teams for the 2013 cross country season. Deedra Irwin, Sarah Daniels, Kyle Hanson, Jani Lane and Jason Saliga also earned individual USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.

Runners Wrap Up Season At Midwest Regional

The Michigan Tech cross country teams wrapped up the 2013 season at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday (Nov. 9) morning from the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course on the campus of UW-Parkside. Both teams bettered their places from 2012 as the men came in 12th and the women were 18th.

For the first time in 13 years, Michigan Tech hosted the GLIAC Cross Country Championships. The challenging course and cold weather benefited the men's team who finished sixth overall, the best finish in five years for the Huskies. The women's team placed 12th overall.

The Michigan Tech cross country teams raced at the Lucian Rosa Invitational at UW-Parkside’s Dannehl National Cross Country Course today. The Huskies men finished ninth of 25 teams while the women were 14th of 29 squads.
Cross Country Teams Race at Griak Invitational

The Michigan Tech cross country teams raced at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of MInnesota at Les Bolstad Golf Course today. The women’s team finished 15th of 34 teams while the men were 19th of 44 teams in their respective Maroon II flights.

Michigan Tech hosted the Pre-GLIAC Cross Country Meet today with Lake Superior State, Northern Michigan (women only) and Gogebic participating. The Huskies men’s team finished second (of three teams) while the women were third (of four teams).

Michigan Tech officially opened its 2013 cross country season today by competing in the UW-Parkside Midwest Collegiate Open at the Dannehl National Cross Country Course. The men finished sixth of 15 teams while the women finished ninth of 16 squads.
