Former Michigan Tech assistant coach for Nordic skiing, cross country, and track and field Jason Cork has been award the Olympic Coach of the Games by the United States Olympic Committee. The current Assistant Cross Country Coach of the United States Ski Team was presented with the award on April 26 at the Team USA Awards presented by Dow, Best of the Games ceremony, held at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C.

The Michigan Tech Huskies Nordic skiers wrapped up their final event Saturday, March 10 at the NCAA National Skiing Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colo. hosted by the University of Colorado. Gaspard Cuenot led the Huskies with his 21st place performance in the 10-kilometer classic race Thursday.

The Michigan Tech Huskies Nordic Ski Team is set for their first competition at the NCAA Skiing Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colo. hosted by the University of Colorado. The Huskies will participate in the classic races Thursday, March 8 followed by the freestyle event Saturday, March 10.

The Michigan Tech Huskies Nordic ski team wrapped up the 2017-18 regular ski season with five First Team All-Conference honorees; Sarah Goble, Gaspard Cuenot, Tom Bye, Mitch DeLong and Reid Goble along with two Second Team All-Conference award winners, Amanda Kautzer and Patrick Acton. MTU’s head coach Tom Smith was also named Coach Of The Year by the the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA).

The Michigan Tech Huskies wrapped up their Nordic ski season in the U.S. Ski Hall of Fame Super Tour Regional Competition at the Al Quaal Recreation Area hosted by Northern Michigan University. Saturday's events consisted of the 20-kilometer and 15-kilometer freestyle events and Sunday concluded with the 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer individual start classic races.

The Michigan Tech Huskies Nordic Ski Team competed in the Central Collegiate Ski Association Conference Championships Saturday, Feb. 10th  and Sunday, Feb. 11th hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. The Huskies had several competitors file into the top-10 in each ski event over the weekend and Gaspard Cuenot clinched his second 1st place title of the season in the freestyle event Sunday.

The Michigan Tech Huskies Nordic ski team raced in the MTU CCSA Races on the Tech Trails Saturday morning. Tech’s Tom Bye and Gaspard Cuenot both earned top spots in the men’s 10K individual classic race and Amanda Kautzer of the women’s team stepped up with a top performance, leading the women’s team in 7th place.
