The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced its 2021 Division II All-Academic Teams, and the Michigan Tech cross country teams both earned spots on the men’s and women’s lists. In addition, 10 individual Michigan Tech student-athletes received All-Academic honors.

Following a successful fall season, Michigan Tech men's and women's cross country announced their annual team awards at a banquet last week. Among season highlights included Clayton Sayen's first place individual finish at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Michigan Tech men's cross country placed second and the women came in third at the GLIAC Cross Country Championships, hosted by Saginaw Valley State on October 23. The men came in fourth in the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships while the women were 13th.

Michigan Tech men's cross country ended an impressive season with a 24th place team finish at the NCAA Division II Championships at the Abbey Course in Saint Leo, Florida Saturday morning. The Huskies fell short of a top-10 finish but had bright spots competing against the nation's best runners. Freshman Drew Kolodge finished 75th in 32:10.5 and was Tech's top scorer.

Ranked No. 17 in the nation, the Michigan Tech men's cross country team sets its sights on the NCAA Division II Championship finals 10K on Saturday, November 20. The race begins at 9:45 a.m. Eastern and will take place at the Abbey Course, hosted by Saint Leo in Florida. The Huskies finished fourth at the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Championships and second at the GLIAC Championships. They gained an at-large bid from the NCAA National committee to make their second appearance in program history at the National Championships.

Michigan Tech men's cross country was ranked No. 17 in Wednesday's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCAAA) Division II National Rankings Poll. The Huskies also finished No. 4 in the Midwest Region. Wednesday marked the fourth time the Huskies have been Nationally ranked this fall and their highest position on the list to date. Michigan Tech is up eight positions from No. 25 on October 27.

All-Region honorees for the 2021 NCAA Division II Cross Country season were recognized on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association and Michigan Tech junior Clayton Sayen earned the distinction for the second time.

Following a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships in Evansville, Indiana on Saturday, Michigan Tech men's cross country was revealed Monday as an NCAA Division II National Championships qualifier, selected as one of 10 at-large teams decided on by committee. The Huskies join thirty-three teams selected to participate in the championship. The top three, seven-person teams automatically qualified from each of eight regions, for a total of 24 teams.

Michigan Tech men's cross country placed fourth and women's cross country came in 13th at the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Championships Saturday afternoon at Angel Mounds Historic Park, hosted by Southern Indiana University. Top-ranked Grand Valley State won both team titles in the women's 6K race and men's 10K.

Michigan Tech men’s and women’s cross country is set to compete in the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 6 at Angel Mounds State Historic Site in Evansville, Indiana. The women’s 6K starts at 11:30 a.m. (Eastern) followed by the men’s 10K at 12:45 p.m.

Michigan Tech men's cross country was ranked No. 25 in Wednesday's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCAAA) Division II National Rankings Poll. The Huskies also clocked in at No. 6 in the Midwest Region. It is the third time the Huskies have been ranked Nationally this fall and their highest position on the list to date.

Michigan Tech men's cross country finished second, while women's cross country came in fourth Saturday at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Saginaw Valley State University. Fighting through extremely soggy course conditions, Clayton Sayen cracked the top-10 for the fourth time this season with a fourth place 8K time of 25:04.1 (5:02 pace). Sam Lange crossed 13th in 25:57.8, followed by teammates Luke Moore (21st - 26:31.7), Nick Niemi (23rd - 26:36.2), and Nick McKenzie (27th - 26:36.2). Grand Valley State placed six runners inside the top-10 to take the men's team title with 25 points. Michigan Tech followed with 76. Then Wayne State (82 pts.), Saginaw Valley State (10 pts.), and Northwood (139 pts.) rounded out the top five. The best time on course went to Isaac Harding (GVSU - 24:35.6).
