REGULAR SEASON FINALE
• Michigan Tech wraps up the regular season on the road this weekend.
• The Huskies play at Ferris State on Friday at 4 p.m.
• The finale is at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lake Superior State.
• The Huskies are 13-14 overall and 9-7 in the GLIAC—good for fourth place in the standings.

GLIAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Meg Raabe is GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week after she totaled 65 kills, averaging 5 per set while hitting .321.
• She averaged 6.3 kills per set in the two wins and hit .342 while adding 16 digs (2 d/s) and 6 blocks. She scored 55 points on the weekend, averaging 6.9 per set.
• She racked up a career-high 32 kills in a five-set win over Wayne State on Saturday while adding 11 digs for a double-double.
• Raabe ranks second on the Huskies in kills (223) and kills per set (3.19), ranking ninth in the GLIAC.

LAST WEEKEND
• Tech volleyball went 2-1 over the week with a Tuesday loss at Northern Michigan, a five-set win over Wayne State Friday at the SDC Gym, and a sweep of Saginaw Valley State on Senior Day Saturday.
Meg Raabe led the offense (5 k/s), Tess Hayes set the attack (10.38 a/s), and Amelia Albers (4.31 d/s) anchored the defense.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Ferris State is 21-6 overall and 14-2 in the GLIAC. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 20 in the AVCA top 25 poll and No. 4 in this week's NCAA Midwest Regional Rankings. Kaylee Maat leads the GLIAC in aces per set (0.56) and is second in assists per set (9.9). Olivia Henneman-Dallape is third in the conference in kills pet set (3.68).
• LSSU is 5-25 overall and 4-14 in the GLIAC. The conference wins are over Saginaw Valley State, Wayne State (2), and Parkside. The Lakers are 3-4 at home. Mariana Velasque is second in the GLIAC in kills per set (3.71).

FIRST MEETING
• FSU – Tech fell 3-0 to No. 21 Ferris State on Sept. 30 at the SDC Gym. The Bulldogs won 25-18, 25-15, and 25-15. Meg Raabe (8), Kaycee Meiners (5), Lindy Oujiri (4), and Rachel Zurek (4) all had at least four kills in a balanced offensive attack. Tess Hayes registered 22 assists and Amelia Albers led with eight digs.
• LSSU – Tech defeated Lake Superior State 3-1 on Sept. 29 at the SDC Gym, defeating the Lakers for the 25th straight time, 25-22, 21-25, 25-21, and 25-13. Lindy Oujiri added 15 kills while Kaycee Meiners tallied nine kills and five blocks. Tess Hayes set the attack with 40 assists while adding 13 digs. Amelia Albers and Alayna Corwin also dug up 13 attacks.

COACH JENNINGS
• Head coach Matt Jennings is in his 11th season with the Huskies and has won 204 matches overall.
• He won his 200th game on October 14 against Findlay and ranks second in the program history in career wins behind Mary Kaminski (258).
• Jennings is on the NCAA Women's Volleyball National Committee and represents the Midwest Region.
• Under Jennings, the Huskies have gone from last place in the conference to nationally ranked and consistently in the NCAA Tournament.
• Jennings coached the Huskies to four straight NCAA tournament appearances from 2017-21.
• He was named the GLIAC Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2017 and led the team to a program record of 10 straight wins to start the 2016 season.
• The 2021 spring team won a GLIAC Regular Season title for the second time in program history with the 2021 team repeating the feat in outright fashion.

• Lindy Oujiri was named to the Midwest Region Crossover All-Tournament Team. She helped lead the Huskies to a 2-1 record at the Crossover, leading the offense with 43 kills, averaging 4.3 per set while hitting .298.
• Kaycee Meiners was named to the UP Open All-Tournament Team after averaging 2.29 kills per set while hitting .410 and tallying nine blocks.
• Lindy Oujiri was named to the Up North All-Tournament Team after leading the Huskies with 3.62 kills per set while adding eight blocks.

NEW ASSISTANT
• Mallory Nickelson was named an Assistant Coach with Michigan Tech volleyball in February.
• Nickelson was a four-year starting libero and setter at future GLIAC member Roosevelt University and was recently an assistant coach for two seasons at UW-Stevens Point.

CAPTAINS
Senior outside hitter Lindy Oujiri, redshirt junior middle blocker Kaycee Meiners, and sophomore defensive specialist Alayna Corwin are team captains for 2023.

LAST SEASON
• Tech finished the 2022 season 20-10 overall record, winning 20 matches for the fifth consecutive season.
• The Huskies went 11-7 in GLIAC play and advanced to the GLIAC Tournament Semifinal for the sixth straight season.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
• The GLIAC Tournament begins on November 15 in the quarterfinal round with the semifinals on November 18 and the championship match the following day.
• The NCAA Tournament begins on November 30.
