Tech Tennis Ranked #46 by ITA

ITA - For the fifth straight week, Michigan Tech women's tennis is Nationally ranked in Division II, coming in at No. 46 on Wednesday ahead of the NCAA Midwest Region quarterfinals on Monday in Detroit.

The Huskies (9-7) have been ranked as high as No. 44 this spring and earned their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2008 with an at-large bid announced Monday night.

The Huskies No. 1 doubles pairing of Dominika Bobik (Wroclaw, Poland) and Grace Eland (Penrith, England) were also ranked No. 34 in the nation. The duo has four wins over top-20 opponents this season and have been ranked as high as No. 31 in Division II.

MTU plays No. 7 Wayne State on Monday, May 1 at 11:30 a.m. at Detroit Mercy Tennis Courts. Tech needs to win two matches next week to advance to the 2023 Division II Women's Tennis National Championships in Orlando, Florida. The Huskies are making their third NCAA appearance since the program's inception in 1975-76.
