The Michigan Tech Nordic ski team distributed its annual team awards at its potluck banquet at the coaches' home over the weekend. Anabel Needham and Skyler Patten repeated as Most Outstanding Skiers. This marks Needham’s fourth consecutive honor and Patten’s third-straight.
Michigan Tech Junior Nordic Skier Jasper Johnston spent time in Alaska at the beginning of March volunteering as a skiing coach with Skiku, an organization with a core purpose of encouraging and supporting sustainable community-driven ski programs primarily focused on rural Alaska and Alaska Native youth.

Senior Skylar Patten had the best finish in both days of competition at the NCAA Skiing Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, leading Michigan Tech to a 10th-place overall team finish.
The Michigan Tech Nordic Ski teams are set for the big stage, sending a full team to the NCAA Skiing Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, March 7 & 9.
