Tech hockey unveils the 2024-25 schedule

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech hockey program announced its 2024-25 schedule on Tuesday (May 7) in conjunction with the CCHA unveiling its composite schedule. The Huskies have 34 regular-season games that include 24 CCHA games, 14 contests at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena, and 10 non-conference meetings.

The season begins with a home exhibition game on October 5 against Northern Michigan. The regular season starts with a road trip to Alaska (Oct. 11-12). Clarkson comes to the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena on October 25-26 on Michigan Tech Sports Hall of Fame weekend.

Tech faces NMU to begin November and CCHA play with Friday's game in Marquette and Saturday's in Houghton. The first conference road trip is to Ferris State (Nov. 8-9). The Huskies return home on November 22-23, hosting Minnesota State, and the month wraps up at Bowling Green (Nov. 29-30) on Thanksgiving weekend.

St. Thomas travels to the Mac on December 6-7 followed by a weekend in Bemidji State (Dec. 13-14). The 58th annual Great Lakes Invitational will take place on December 29-30 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. Tech plays Western Michigan in the first semifinal followed by Michigan State against Northern Michigan in the late game.

Tech travels to California to begin the New Year at the Coachella Valley Cactus Cup in Palm Springs. Tech plays UMass Lowell in the late semifinal on January 3 with Holy Cross and Omaha playing in the first game.

The Huskies host Lake Superior State in a return to CCHA play on January 10-11 and then travel to Mankato to face the Mavericks (Jan. 17-18). The UP rivalry with NMU wraps up on January 24-25 to round on the first month of 2025. The Huskies will host Friday's game.

The 2025 Winter Carnival opponent is Bemidji State (Feb. 7-8). The final nonconference games of the season are February 14-15 with the first-ever trip to Augustana. The last home series is February 21-22 against Ferris State with the regular season finale at St. Thomas (Feb 28-Mar. 1).

The top four teams after the regular season will host the opening round of the CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs on March 7-9 with a best-of-three series. The CCHA semifinals will be on March 15 with the CCHA Mason Cup Championship Game taking place the following weekend.

The NCAA Tournament opens play on March 27 with regional sites in Allentown, Pa., Fargo, N.D., Toledo, Ohio, and Manchester, N.H. The 2025 Frozen Four will be staged at Enterprise Center in St. Louis on April 10 and 12.

All CCHA and home non-conference games will be streamed on Midco Sports Plus.

Michigan Tech ticketing information will be released in July.
