This sent Tech to the lower bracket to face Cal Poly Pomona.

On Wednesday in round 2 of the loser's bracket, Tech moved on over Cal Poly Pomona 2-0. With wins of 16-9 on Nuke and 16-10 on Inferno, the Huskies showed confidence moving into the next round to face Central Florida. Thursday saw the end of Tech's National Championship dreams with a 2-1 loss to UCF. The match was off to a terrific start, Hunter "Retnuh" Holm put a staggering 48 kills on the board to lead the Huskies to a 19-17 map one win on Dust 2.
