Larry Ras
Inducted August 3, 1985

Larry Ras played on the gridiron from 1968 through 1971, leading the Huskies in rushing four years. His many honors as an athlete include All-Northern Intercollegiate Conference in 1969, 1970, and 1971; NIC most valuable player, NAIA All-American and NCAA Division II All-American, second team in 1971, and NCAA Division II scoring champion in 1971.

Ras ranks high on the all-time offensive charts at Michigan Tech. He is fifth in career rushing (3,761), 12th in total offense (3,761), and hold records in rushing touchdowns (40) and total points (248). He was a co-captain for football twice and captained the track team as a senior. Ras was also selected as an academic All-American and received several other awards for his scholastic achievements.

In 1972, Ras had a brief tryout with the Washington Redskins of the National Football League and served as an assistant coach at Michigan Tech until his graduation in December that year.
