Ken Pelto Sr.
Inducted November 3, 2001

 

Ken Pelto did it all. He lettered in football (1933-36), hockey (1933-35), track and field (1933-35), and boxing (1933-35) for the Huskies.

Pelto was the team captain in football as both a junior and senior.

In addition, he was an outstanding boxer. Pelto won Golden Gloves titles at 156 pounds in 1933, 1934, and 1935.

In track, he threw the javelin and ran the mile.

A native of Hancock, Michigan, Pelto was a regular supporter of Michigan Tech athletics after leaving the University in 1936. He passed away on Sept. 24, 1991.
