College can be a difficult time for anyone. Student-athletes are often subject to additional stress and concerns because of their dedication to athletics and academics while managing other important aspects of their experience while at Michigan Tech. We strive to provide students resources and services that develop their well-being and mental health so that all athletes have a chance at being the most healthy, happy, and successful version of themselves as they pursue their goals and interests.  

Student-athletes have access to many services, including:

  • Individual counseling
  • Case management
  • On-campus and community referrals for medication management
  • Dietician appointments*
    • Limited availability; must meet with the Director of Student-Athlete Wellness prior to scheduling
  • Performance consultations
  • Crisis intervention
  • Wellness Series events
  • Referrals to community and campus resources
  • Mental health literacy and bystander education presentations
    • Mental Health First Aid
    • QPR Training (Question, Persuade, Refer)
  • Free access to TELUS Health Student Support for 24/7 mental health and well-being support
  • Free access to Restoic app for general well-being and sport performance support
