Cross Country Announces 2021 Team Awards
HOUGHTON, Mich. - Following a successful fall season, Michigan Tech men's and women's cross country announced their team awards at their annual banquet last week. Among season highlights included Clayton Sayen's first-place individual finish at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Michigan Tech men's cross country placed second and the women came in third at the GLIAC Cross Country Championships, hosted by Saginaw Valley State on October 23. The men placed fourth at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships while the women were 13th.
For the second time in program history, men's cross country qualified for the NCAA Division II Championship Finals. The team took 24th place at the Abbey Course in Saint Leo, Florida on November 20. Freshman Drew Kolodge was the team's top finisher in the 10K race.
