Bio

Kristin D'Agostini-Yep was named head coach of the men's and women's tennis teams at Michigan Tech in February 2020. In her first season, D'agostini-Yep guided the women's tennis team to a fifth place finish in the GLIAC Tournament. The Husky women finished 6-4 in the GLIAC while the men went 0-7. In 2021-22, D'agostini-Yep guided the women's tennis team to the conference quarterfinals, where they fell 4-1 to No. 35 ranked Grand Valley State University. She also helped the Michigan Tech men's team earn a victory over No. 30 ranked Davenport on April 15.

In spring 2022-23, D'Agostini-Yep helped Michigan Tech women's tennis to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 16 years, culminating in a quarterfinal loss to No. 7 Wayne State on May 1. The Husky women finished 9-8 overall and reached the semifinals of the GLIAC Tournament before falling to Wayne State. The team finished third in the conference regular season standings with a 5-2 record. Michigan Tech men's tennis finished 0-14 in 2022-23.

D'Agostini-Yep arrived at Tech from NCAA Division III Whittier College (Calif.) where she was the head coach for the men's and women's tennis programs for two seasons and played in NCAA Division III as a member of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

D'Agostini-Yep brought a wealth of experience to Tech having coached at the collegiate level, as a teaching professional, and professional playing experience. D'agostini-Yep was named the 2019 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Coach of the Year. She began her collegiate coaching career as the men's assistant coach at Whittier for the 2015 season before becoming the head coach of both the men's and women's programs in the summer of 2017.

D'Agostini-Yep competed collegiately at Concordia University Irvine where she earned All-America accolades in both singles and doubles. Yep started out competing in Southern California juniors beginning at age 15, touring around Asia and North America to compete in International Tennis Federation (ITF) juniors tournaments. She went on to establish an ITF junior world ranking of 700. D'agostini-Yep earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Sport Science in 2012 and completed her Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration in 2019 at Concordia University Irvine.

D'Agostini-Yep also worked as an intern conference commissioner at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference office since January of 2019. She assisted the conference office with tasks for championships, governance, compliance, scheduling, sports information, special events, and SCIAC record books. Yep became a teaching professional in 2005 providing private and group lessons.
